In order for EV chargers to become more ubiquitous in household use, E-FANer hopes to create a better understanding of how they operate.However, most of the home charging stations in the existing market focus on easy operation, but many users still do not know how to start charging, for example, scanning the QR code to confirm the right to use the charging station. E-Faner allows users to scan the car number automatically, and our mission is to achieve this through the plug-and-play and simple intelligent control functions.

Challenge

How might we created an E-Faner interface with a low learning curve that is easy to use and manage.

Research

We held three electric vehicle owners operating the charging stations on site to observe each stage of usage and provide feedback on the main issues through their experience.

01 - Initial cognitive behavior of using EV charger.
02 - Any software has interface guidance when using the hardware.
03 - Would other charging feature could enhance charging experience.

One of the user maps We can clearly define the future development direction of E-FANer residential AC and commercial DC through this user map, and we can define a smoother user experience for the existing features, such as scanning the car number to bind the device function with minimal learning.
